Greetings everyone,

I am excited to announce the release of our first video on YouTube, where we will be exploring the relationship between Level of Development and Design Management in the process of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and Virtual Design and Construction (VDC).

In this video, our founder Rick Aspin will take us on a journey through the complexities of modern architectural, engineering and construction projects and how the use of new technologies and processes can help to precisely plan and manage our way to better execution of our projects. He will also discuss the importance of an open and inclusive project environment, where the skills and experience of every discipline are the focus of creating and managing a realistic project schedule.

We will also be diving into the use of the BIM Forum's LOD Specification and how the LOD Matrix can be used to document and manage a project's goals and tasks. And, as a bonus, we will be sharing our own LOD matrix with you and providing insight into the meaning behind our company name, Vellum & Razor Blades.

Make sure to stick around until the end of the video and leave a comment with your thoughts on LOD and your own experiences using it in managing projects. We would love to hear your point of view.

In the following weeks, we will be digging deeper into the fabric of what it takes to manage a design project, so stay tuned for more valuable content.

Thank you for joining us on this journey and we can't wait for you to see the video and view the LOD Matrix at the links below.

Cheers,
Rick Aspin
